Griffin's Blue Butterfly

A blue butterfly is the sign I ask my son for - the one that tells me he's near.

The very first time I asked for it, I found them in the Graduate Hotel in Nashville, surrounded by a wall of blue butterflies. This design is painted after that wallpaper - the moment I first went looking for Griffin and found him looking back.

Griffin's Blue Butterfly is a new mini canvas I created for him, and painting it was a way to keep him close. I hope it can hold a little of that meaning for you too.

When we lost Griffin, a family friend sent us a bear from Barrett's Bears, an organization that comforts families grieving the loss of a baby. To this day it's one of the most special things our family owns - a reminder that he was seen, and that we weren't alone. So $5 from every Griffin's Blue Butterfly is donated to Barrett's Bears, to help another family receive that same comfort.
